According to the resource endowment and industrial competition pattern of China and America, agriculture is the most competitive industry of America for China in export. Since America added tariff on July 6, China has to fight back necessarily. Under that impact, the soybeans exported from America to China have been restricted

Data of China National Grains and Oil Information Center (CNGOIC) shows China adds 25% import tariff to US soybeans so that the import cost of US soybeans per ton is increased RMB 700-800 Yuan, about RMB 300 Yuan higher than Brazil soybeans per ton.

Wang Liaowei, the Senior Economist of CNGOIC said it means US soybeans are not competitive in the Chinese market. In this way, domestic enterprises have reduced import from USA successively from June. Our statistical data shows in the first three weeks before June 25, we did not purchase new soybeans from America, and reduced import order of 615,000t instead.

Experts say American soybeans highly rely on export, and over 40% output must be consumed by export, while in which 60% export is toward the Chinese market.
