Xinjiang-Supporting Walnut Deep Processing Key Project of Hangzhou Puts into Operation

On Oct. 1, 2018, Aksu Zhejiang-Xinjiang Fruits Industry Co., Ltd. Walnut Deep Processing Company introduced by Hangzhou Xinjiang-Supporting Command Center was officially put into production, presenting a gift for the 69th anniversary of foundation of the Republic of China. 

With total investment of CNY200 million, this project is constructed in two phases. The Phase I project was completed and put into production in September this year, and Phase II project will be invested and put into operation in two years. After the project reaches designed capacity, it ay process 20,000t walnuts, drive over 5000 farmer households to increase income in Aksu, and directly provide job posts for more than 500 people.

The Phase I project will introduce daily output 25t walnut processing line, covering automatic production line for nuts size grading and weight sorting, full automatic production line for walnut kernal shell crushing, peeling and shelling, walnut kernel color selection and grading system, full automatic deep processing line of walnut kernel physical shelling, and full automatic packaging equipment.

It is known that in the yield season in 2018, the Company plans to purchase 5000t walnut raw materials (Wenzhou 185, Xinjiang 2), and produce 2000t finished walnut products, 1000t finished walnut kernels and 400t walnut snack foods – unshelled walnut kernels.

“Zhejiang-Xinjiang Fruits Industry” put forward the concept of walnut standard production aiming at current industrial problems in the walnut industry in China.

Firstly, the Company and Equipment Enterprise jointly developed walnut weight selection, grading equipment aiming at blighted kernels of walnuts and make sure every kernel is full.

Secondly, the Company implemented factorized and standard production and configured advanced separation equipment and online monitoring equipment aiming at problems of walnut kernel products such as malicious foreign matters (hair), excessive mould, short shelf life (not fresh, rancid); apply partial vacuum package within 5h after the kernel is shelled to guarantee the fresh taste. 

Thirdly, for stale taste problem of skinless kernel, the industry purchases raw materials from upstream enterprise generally, and the raw materials of kernel may not be fresh. The Company produces while shelling to guarantee fresh and delicious taste of skinless kernel.

The mean annual sunlight in Aksu, the place of original of walnut raw materials reaches 2900h. This area is the place the most suitable for walnut growing in the world. The operating team of the Company is experienced in nuts production, management and operation for over 20 years, and owns multiple technical patents for invention. Particularly, the application and research of physical shelling technology of walnut kernel takes the lead in the industry.
