On
January 9-10, 2019, the 41st Annual American Sunflower Conference sponsored by
the National Sunflower Association of United States was held in Fargo, a
northern city in the United States. The meeting attracted farmers, the Company
representatives and nearly 100 experts and scholars from South Dakota, North
Dakota, Kansas, Colorado, Texas and Iowa. As a representative of China’s seed
industry, Sunrise Agritec was invited to attend the annual meeting.
Participants reported the latest research progress in the fields of weed
prevention and control, pest research and new variety breeding through special speeches and wall newspaper displays.
Dr. Ran Chaojian, president of Sunrise Agritec Sunflower Technology Research Institute, held extensive discussions and exchanges with participants from major scientific research institutes and Sunflower Company, which broadened the thinking for the future research and development direction of Sunrise Agritec and obtained a large number of valuable data on the latest research progress of first-hand sunflowers.
