The Coordination Meeting of former “Three-Towns One-Township” in Torreya Forest Park before Torreya Harvest was held in the morning of Aug. 20 in Gulai Town, Shengzhou. It is reported in the meeting that Shengzhou predicts to start harvesting torreya nuts on Sept. 5 this year, and overall yield is increased than that of last year.

Shengzhou abounds in torreya nuts, and the planting area reaches 123,000mu. In this year, as affected by rainwater and bad weather in severe winter, the yield is dropped obviously than that in the previous year. However, with growth of torreya nuts yield in the new development base, the overall yield in Shengzhou may keep a tie with or increase slightly than last year. The fresh fruit yield in Shengzhou is about 18,000g according to prediction.
