On
May 17, China Food Association officially released group standards of “General
Requirements for Children’s Snacks”. It is learned that this is the first
standard about snack foods in China, and also the first standard regarding
“children’s snacks”.
The
group standards of “General Requirements for Children’s Snacks” shall be
implemented from June 15. The standard divides children to two stages according
to different ages: preschool children are from 3 to 6 years old, and school-age
children are from 6 to 12 years old. In accordance with growth characteristics
of children at different ages, various nutrient demands are confirmed. The
standard regulates less sugar, salt and oil content in healthy diets for
children, and regulates limit of sodium chloride, sucrose and fat. Moreover,
the safety for children shall be considered sufficiently in package design
safety.

continuously launch product upgrading based on group standard of children’s
snacks.
