On July 15, in Kumubashi Town, Aksu, Xinjiang, the hometown of walnuts in China, the launching ceremony of High Quality Walnuts Base Construction & Order-based Agriculture Strategic Cooperation was held. The Kumubashi Town People’s Government, Chacha Food Co., Ltd. and Aksu Zhejiang Fruits Industry Co., Ltd. plan to construct a national-level high-quality walnut production base jointly to carry out order-based agriculture, control high quality and fresh raw materials from the source, and actively explore the new mode of farmer-supporting for public welfare.

Aksu, well-known as “the hometown of walnuts in China”, has a long history of walnut planting. In the beginning of this century, Aksu made the strategic deployment to steadily develop forestry and fruits growing industry. It selected walnuts industry as the major variety for development of forestry and fruit growing, strengthened input of manpower, property and materials and technological research, and cultivated several high-quality thin-skin walnut varieties and comprehensively promoted in the entire region. The thin-skin walnuts brand of Aksu became famous.

After signing the contract, the Kumubashi Town People’s Government, Chacha Food Co., Ltd. and Aksu Zhejiang Fruits Industry Co., Ltd. will play a promoting role in constructing walnut industry base, purchasing walnuts raw materials, applying raw materials preliminary processing, and drive farmers to increase income.
