It is known that in the past nine years since its establishment, Henan Nuts & Roasted Seeds Chamber of Commerce encouraged enterprises to make continuous innovation, control quality, operate abiding by rules of civilization with the tenet of “serving nuts and roasted seeds industry wholeheartedly” and urged a batch of honest, legal, responsible and courageous enterprises emerging in the industry. The nuts and roasted seeds enterprises in Henan Province provide various varieties covering all flavors, and sell their products well at home and abroad. The products are popular among consumers.

While protecting member enterprises, the Chamber of Commerce also has formulated industrial conventions and food safety commitment and required enterprises to abide by. They successfully issued Proposal for Integrity and Self-discipline of Enterprises, and documents regarding national standards for food safety such as General Rules for Nuts and Roasted Seeds and Standards for Nuts and Seeds Food and offered members to carefully study and implement; they hired experts in food safety in Henan Province for several times to offer training about use and health specifications of food safety and food addictives to person in charge of member enterprises.

The Chairman, Zhang Yong, pointed out that the nuts and roasted seeds industry at present has entered a new era focusing on product quality, and enterprises must strengthen honest operation, stick to safety baseline and enhance awareness of brand. Particularly, small and micro nuts and roasted seeds enterprises must handle SC certification, promote advanced quality management mode such as “6S” management, and make transformation and upgrading.
