In Hubei Technology Innovation Conference held on Feb.18, the “Peanut High-oil Seed Development and New Variety Cultivate” finished under the leadership of Researcher Jiang Huifang from Oil Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences won the first prize for science and technology progress of Hubei Province. The research acquired important breakthrough in high-oil and high-yield quality peanut variety cultivation and application, and successfully cultivated four new peanut varieties with the highest oil content and oil yield such as ZH16 in China. The product has been promoted over 3100mu in China, generating nearly CNY5 billion benefits. The oil content of ZH16 variety reaches 58.67%, with oil yield per mu of 154kg. It greatly promoted upgrading of peanut varieties in China.
