Pecans harvest peak period started in recent years. The harvest amount in Shache Prefecture is about 3100t every day. Pecan trees are tall, and many fruits are on the top of trees. When people tap branches with one pole, mature pecans will fall down soon. People below the tree catch pecans with plastic bags. The harvest way is traditional because the growing area is large in local area but per capita area is small. Mechanical harvest is not suitable. Now, Shache is constructing Pecans Industry Park, and has gradually perfected integrated mode of purchase, air drying, processing and sales.
