the report of “Study on Snack Food Consumption Trend in New Consumption Age”.
According to the report, with rapid development of increasing per capita
disposable income and fast growth of emerging consumption business, consumption
upgrade becomes main theme of the consumption market. Consumption selection
shows the trend of individuation, different levels and diversity. Snack food
becomes an important source of consumers to acquire sense of comfort, affection
connection and sense of belonging, and will further develop as consumption
upgrade speeds up.
The research points out through analysis that consumers pay more attention to nutrition and health when selecting snack food, and prefer varieties and brands. The preference of consumers decide that some varieties develop rapidly while others experiences downturn. Since nuts are rich in necessary fatty acid, amino acid, and various mineral elements for human, consumers labeled nutrition and health to such varieties, resulting in soaring demand for tree nuts such as pecans, macadamia and pecans.
