“Tieling Hazel” Quality and Safety Indicators for Inspection Are 100% FPY

To safeguard the quality and safety of the geographical indication “Tieling Hazel” and polish the brand “Tieling Hazel”, Tieling Modern Agriculture Service Center commissioned Liaoning General Fair Testing Co., Ltd. to randomly sample and test the quality characteristics and quality and safety of hazel products produced by six enterprises and co-operatives who had been authorized to use the agricultural geographical indication of “Tieling Hazel”. a total of 27 samples were tested, and the quality and safety indicators were 100%FPY. The main nutritional indicators are concluded as follows: The fat content and protein content are 60% and 20%, respectively, and the unsaturated fatty acid is composed of 41.8g/100g oleic acid, 0.0433g γ-linolenic acid and 0.0369g α-linolenic acid. It is rich in 16 kinds of amino acids, including 4.12g glutamic acid and 2.44g arginine per 100g. The hazel contains all 8 kinds of amino acids needed by human body, and its content is much higher than walnut. In terms of microelements, every kilogram contains 2,080mg of calcium, 2,200mg of potassium, 30.3mg of iron, 22.2mg of zinc and 0.091mg of selenium, and the contents of various microelements such as the calcium, zinc and iron are higher than those of other nuts.
