Benefiting from strong demand and ample global supply, imports of almonds, pistachios, and macadamia nuts will continue to grow.
Walnuts
It is expected that the production of commodity-grade walnuts with shells in China for the 2023/24 (September to August of the following year) will be 1.4 million tons, which is the same as the previous year.
Almond
Due to the extremely low temperatures in January in Shache County, Xinjiang, which damaged a large number of plants, it is expected that the production of shelled Almond in China will significantly decrease to 5000 tons in the 2023/24 (August to July of the following year).
Pistachio
The production of pistachios in China is very limited. According to industry reports, the production for the 2023/24 (September to August of the following year) was only 300 tons.
Macadamia Nuts
It is expected that the production of shelled Macadamia Nuts in China for the 2023/24 (September to August of the following year) will reach 57,000 tons, representing a year-on-year increase of 36%.
Hazelnut

Pecan
It is expected that China will produce 4300 tons of shelled pecan in the 2023/24 (September to August of the following year).
