According to the statistics from Urumqi Customs, this year the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region exported nearly 200,000 tons of various fruits, with a total export value exceeding 2 billion yuan. Compared with 2022, the export volume increased by almost 150%, and the export value also grew by nearly 80%.
To accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system and achieve high-quality development, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Forestry and Grassland Bureau focuses on the "eight major industrial clusters" and other distinctive industries with competitive advantages to promote their development and strive for greater strength. Relying on Xinjiang's unique advantages in forestry and fruit resources, the Bureau leverages the role of the "Silk Road Economic Belt" as a core region and a bridgehead for westward development. Through a series of measures such as improving fruit quality, increasing the number of registered export orchards, fostering and strengthening fruit and forestry export enterprises, and intensifying the development of international markets, the initiative continuously expands the fruit export channels to Central Asia and neighboring countries. This accelerates the overall development level of the region's green organic fruit and vegetable industry clusters and fruit and forestry industry chain.
