In the first half of the year, Xinjiang fruit exports increased by 20% to 1.2 billion yuan year-on-year

According to the customs statistics query platform of the General Administration of Customs, fruit exports in Xinjiang continued to grow in the first half of this year, with a cumulative export of 100,000 tons of various types of fruit and an export value of 1.2 billion yuan, an increase of 44.9% and 20% respectively.
From January to June, Xinjiang's fruit exports included 11 varieties, such as walnuts, sinian trees, peaches, grapes, wolfberries, dates, pears, apples, etc. Among them, the largest export amount was walnuts, whose export amount reached 470 million yuan, accounting for 39% of the total export amount of Xinjiang's fruit in the first half of the year. Followed by fresh apples, the export amount reached 180 million yuan, accounting for 15% of Xinjiang's total fruit exports in the first half of the year; Fresh peaches ranked third, with an export value of 152 million yuan, accounting for 12.7 percent of Xinjiang's total fruit exports in the first half of the year.
From the perspective of export destinations, Xinjiang fruit is mainly exported to Central Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East and other countries and regions, such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc., among which raisins, red dates sales also cover Japan, the United Kingdom, Russia, Germany and other countries, the scope continues to expand.
Data show that in June, Xinjiang exported 23,000 tons of fruit, with an export value of 225 million yuan. June is the season for Xinjiang nectarines and other fresh peach fruits to be listed in large quantities, and fresh peach exports grew rapidly, with the export amount reaching 116 million yuan, accounting for 51.5% of the entire fruit export amount in June. Xinjiang fresh peach is mainly exported to Kyrgyzstan and Russia, among which Kyrgyzstan is the main export destination of Xinjiang fresh peach, accounting for about 90% of fresh peach exports.
In recent years, relying on the advantages of characteristic forest fruit resources, Xinjiang has strengthened the cultivation of forest fruit export enterprises and actively explored the international market. According to the statistics of the Forest fruit Industry Development Center of the autonomous region, Xinjiang has exported about 2 billion yuan of various fruits in 2023, an increase of nearly 80% compared with 2022. Xinjiang's high-quality fruit products have a strong momentum of going abroad, covering more than 30 countries and regions in Central Asia, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Europe.
