According to the report by the South Korea's Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs on Nov. 28,that outbound shipments of foodstuffs came to $10.13 billion in the Jan. 1-Nov. 25 period,It marked the first time that exports of agricultural and fishery goods have exceeded the $10 billion level since the country began compiling related data in 1971.

The export value of agricultural and sideline products up 16.1% from the previous year, the highest growth rate since 2011.Among them, the export value of agricultural food and seafood was 7.63 billion U.S.dollars and 2.5 billion U.S.dollars respectively.

  The No.1 food export value is seaweed, which exports $600 million to 113 countries. Korean kimchi and ginseng are also popular in the United States, Japan, and the New Southern Policy Partner countries, and are expected to set the highest annual export value.
