According to the order signed by the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan will impose export restrictions on sunflower seeds and sunflower oil for half a year.

According to the order, from December 15, 2021, Kazakhstan will implement the export quota management for some sunflower seeds and sunflower oil commodities. Among them, the export quota of broken and unbroken seed sunflower and other sunflower seeds is 125,000t; the export quota of raw squeezed sunflower seed oil and unrefined sunflower seed oil for primary packaging is 110,000t; the export quota of sunflower oil and its by-products for other primary packaging is 110,000t. The order is valid until July 1 2022.
