According to the Research Report of the Brazilian Institute of forestry and agricultural management and certification (imaflora), the planting area of soybeans, corn, kidney beans, sugarcane and rice in Brazil accounts for more than 70%. Since 2000, soybean planting area has been increasing. In 2017, the planting area of soybeans accounted for 43.2%, followed by corn owns 22.5%, sugar cane owns 13%, beans owns 3.9% and rice owns 2.6%.
