On January 18, 2022, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issued F.No.1828/Misc.Matters/FSSAI/import-2021 specifies the import requirements of raw cashew nuts. The specific contents are as follows: in order to promote the import trade of raw cashew nuts, before the official release of the product standard of raw cashew nuts, the product is regarded as food not specified, and the general provisions in the Food Standards and Regulations: Standards for Pollutants, Toxins and Pesticide Residues shall apply to the import inspection. The circular shall go into effect as of the date of promulgation.
