According to the official website data of Almond Board of California, the total output of California Almonds hit a record high of 3.107 billion pounds (approximately 1.409 million tons) in 2021, an increase of approximately 21.8% compared with 2020. According to the data of official website of the Specialized Committee for Nuts and Roasted Seeds of China National Food Industry Association, as of January 2022, the total harvest of almonds in California reached 2.828 billion pounds, and the received goods by the middle of this season have exceeded the 2.8 billion pounds predicted by the objective report.

With the increase yield of California almonds, in recent years, the volume of almonds exported to China has also been increasing constantly. In January, there were totally 63 containers of California almonds (with shells) shipped, a significant increase from 3 containers in the same period of the previous year. As of January this season (August, 2011-January, 2022), there were totally 2018 containers of almonds (with shells) shipped, an increase of 2.4% compared with 1971 containers previous year.
