Recently, Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Le Wencheng issued the Decision No. 344 Authorizing the Macadamia Sustainable Development Scheme for the Period 2021-2030, with a Vision to 2050 (344/QĐ-TTg), which strives to achieve the goal of export of macadimia nut products of USD 2.5 billion by the end of 2050.

We will strive to produce 130,000t of macadimia nuts by the end of 2030, and 500,000t by the end of 2050; to export USD 400 million of macadimia nut products by the end of 2030, and USD 2.5 billion by the end of 2050; and to cultivate 130,000-150,000 hectares of macadimia nuts in China by the end of 2030, and 250,000 hectares of macadimia nuts by the end of 2050.
