The member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan) are planning to implement unified export quotas for cereals, sunflower oil and sugar in order to stabilize prices and ensure food security.
The draft decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission on the implementation of restrictions has been submitted for discussion and should be concluded on April 18. It is proposed to implement export quotas for wheat and Maslin (a mixture of wheat and rye), barley, corn, sunflower seed oil and their components, as well as white sugar and raw sucrose.
