Vietnam's cashew exported worth US $1.7 billion in the first seven months of 2022. However, the number of cashew exported will decrease in the coming months, which may last until the end of 2022.
However, factors such as the Russian Ukraine conflict and global inflation will affect exports by the end of 2022, while China's continued "zero epidemic" policy will bring many challenges to Vietnam's cashew exports to China. In addition to war and economic factors, Vietnam's cashew industry is facing another problem-the price of cashew raw materials.
According to the data of the Vietnam cashew Association, in the first five months of 2022, the raw cashew import volume of cashew enterprises decreased by 35.24% YOY, and the import volume decreased by 37.84% YOY. However, the price of raw cashew imported from Africa increased by 15%-20% YOY.
