Yadikar Ibrahimov, chairman of Kazakhstan National Association of Oil seed Processors and Manufacturers, said on Thursday that Kazakhstan decided to impose an export tax on sunflower seeds on Tuesday, with the export tariff set at 20%, which will take effect in November 2022.

The government also requires relevant industry associations to participate in the formulation of the calculation method of the benchmark price of sunflower seeds, which is used to calculate tariffs.
