As of the week of October 12, 2022, the progress of sunflower seed planting in Argentina in 2022/23 was 29.6%, 3.2 percentage points higher than 26.4% a week ago, and 9.3% lower than the same period in 2021.

The exchange estimated that the planting area of sunflower seeds in Argentina would be 2 million hectares in 2022/2023, an increase of 17.6% over the 1.7 million hectares in the previous year.

The output of sunflower seeds in 2021/22 is 3.4 million tons.
