According to EU statistics, in the first half of 2022, Iran's exports of pistachios to the EU were 78.6 million euros, the volume of exports registered a 26% decline compared with the first half of 2021.The export of in-shell pistachio stood at €31.6 million during the period, registering a 53% year-on-year decline, while that of shelled pistachio stood at €47 million to register a 23% YOY rise.Germany and Italy were the main destinations of Iranian pistachio among EU members.Iran is also the second largest source of pistachios imported from the EU after the United States.
