A message from the Bureau of Animal and Plant Health of the Russian Federation, released the Republic of Russia had shipped the first batch of pine nuts this year to China in early January, with a total weight of 146 tons.

The average annual export volume of pine nuts in the Republic of Obliate is about 15000 tons. In 2002, the Republic exported more than 9500 tons to China.

Russia is the world's largest pine nut exporter. About 80% of the harvested pine nuts are exported to foreign countries, and the remaining 20% can fully meet the domestic market demand in Russia.
