Australia formulates import requirements for processed peanuts and other products

On February 18, 2023, the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forestry established import regulations for processed peanuts, dried cowpeas, candies, and bee products. These regulations will take effect upon release.The main requirements for importing peanuts include: no need for an import license from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forestry; peanuts must be processed using methods other than blanching. Mark the following information on the manufacturer's statement, commercial invoice, packing list, or label: whether the peanuts are roasted or boiled, vacuum-sealed, canned, or frozen, and whether they are shelled or unshelled.
