According to the Voice of Vietnam, Vietnam's cashew nut exports increased by nearly 12% month-on-month in May, marking the highest growth rate since July 2021.
The Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) quoted statistics from the General Department of Customs, stating that in May 2023, Vietnam's cashew nut exports reached 57.42 thousand tons, valued at 340.39 million USD. This represents an 11.7% increase in volume and an 11.4% increase in value compared to April 2023. Additionally, compared to May 2022, there was a 15.1% increase in volume and an 11.7% increase in value. Vietnam's cashew exports reached the highest level since July 2021, according to this figure.
In the five 5 months of 2023, Vietnam's cashew nut exports reached 219.87 thousand tons, worth 1.29 billion which is an increase of up 8.3% in volume and 6.3% in compared to over the same period last year.
In the first five months of this year, Vietnam's cashew nut exports to the United States, the Netherlands, Germany, Australia, and other markets declined. However, its exports to China, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, Japan, and other markets increased.
