At present, the 2023/24 production season of Peruvian blueberries has started for two and a half months, and the export volume of Peruvian blueberries is 17,588 tons, a significant decrease of 35% compared with the same period last year.

It is reported that due to the impact of the El Nino phenomenon, the production of blueberries in Peru has dropped sharply, and the total output so far has dropped by about 40% compared with the same period last year. As of the 32nd week, the total amount of blueberries exported from Peru to China was 3,994 tons, a decrease of 46% from 7354 tons in the same period of the previous quarter. Although the shipment volume at the beginning of the blueberry production season was not significantly different from the previous season, Peruvian blueberry exports have been weak for a consecutive month.
