The total shipment volume in March was 237 million pounds (approximately 107,500 tons), down 15.7% from 281 million pounds (about 127,500 tons) during the same period last year.
As of March, the total harvest of the 2023 season has been largely finalized at 2.44 billion pounds, representing a 4.1% decrease compared to last year's 2.54 billion pounds. It is also approximately 7% lower than the 2.6 billion pounds estimated in the Association's objective production report.
For the current season up to the 23 production season, the total shipment volume is currently 1.838 billion pounds (approximately 833,700 tons), reflecting a 2.2% increase compared to 1.798 billion pounds (approximately 815,600 tons) during the same period last year. Meanwhile, the unsold inventory stands at 774 million pounds (about 351,100 tons), a 12.1% decrease from 881 million pounds (around 399,600 tons) during the same period last year.
