Recently, it has been reported that Côte d'Ivoire's sales during the 2024 cashew production season have been poor. Due to high costs and low selling prices for processed cashews, factories are incurring a loss of 170 francs for processing one kilogram of cashews. Local processing plants and multinational corporations are adopting a wait-and-see attitude toward purchasing raw cashews, while some farmers still have unsold inventory from last year.
