In the first five months of 2024, the export volume of goods through the ports of Lang Son Province has increased significantly, with fruit exports leading the way.

Specifically, the volume of fresh fruit exports through the ports of Lang Son province is nearly 1.2 million tons, an increase of more than 455,000 tons compared to the same period in 2023. This means that Lang Son is Vietnam's largest land border crossing for agricultural exports. The relevant departments of Lang Son Port have also formulated priority policies to create maximum convenience for the export of agricultural products.

Nong Guangxing, deputy director of the customs branch of Lang Son Xinqing Port, said that in the first five months of 2024, the unit has cleared customs for more than 3,250 batches of fruit (nearly 900,000 tons, an increase of nearly 152% over the same period in 2023). At present, the unit is coordinating with relevant departments to create the most convenient conditions for the customs clearance of goods, especially seasonal fruits such as lychee, mango and dragon fruit, and provide separate channels for fresh fruit exports.

To facilitate the smooth export of agricultural products, the provincial customs department has instructed seven border customs branches to provide separate channels for 11 kinds of fruits exported to the Chinese market, including dragon fruit, rambutan, jackfruit, banana, mango, watermelon, durian, longan, mangosteen, lychee and passion fruit.

At present, an average of 400 to 450 trucks are exported through Lang Son Province, of which more than 350 are fresh fruit vehicles per day, equivalent to about 4,000 tons of fresh fruit (mainly at the New Qing Port and Youyi International Port). Thanks to its flexible measures to facilitate quick customs clearance for fresh fruit exports, Lang Son Province has attracted many import and export enterprises to Lang Son Province for customs clearance.
