      According to data released by the Kyrgyz Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, in January-August 2024, the import and export volume in the field of agriculture, food and processing industry in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 92.3 billion soms (about 1.1 billion U.S. dollars), an increase of 2.4 percent year-on-year, Tazabek News Network of Kyrgyzstan reported on Oct. 24, 2024. Exports of agricultural, food and processing industry products accounted for 13.1% of Ji's total exports, down 0.5 percentage points from a year earlier.
  
  From January to August, Ji imported 1.8 billion soms of livestock products, down 31.8% year-on-year; 19.3 billion soms of plantation products; 46.3 billion soms of food and processing industry products, down 0.1% year-on-year. Imports of agricultural, food and processing industry products accounted for 9.1% of total imports of Ji, down 0.8 percentage points from the same period last year.
