According to foreign media reports, the monthly report released by Oil World shows that global soybean supply is sufficient in 2024/25, but sunflower and rapeseed supply is tight. It is expected that the global soybean supply in 2024/25 is close to 530 million tons, a substantial increase of 38 million tons over 2023/24, of which the opening stocks increased by 10 million tons year-on-year, while production increased by 28 million tons year-on-year. Global production of sunflower and rapeseed oils is forecast to be 3.7 million tons lower year-on-year in 2024/25, and higher soybean crushing will not be able to offset the loss of production of these two vegetable oils, even though global soybean supplies are expected to be adequate.
