Côte d'Ivoire: this year's minimum price for cashews was 425 CFA francs, an increase of 150 CFA francs per kilogram.

On January 17, 2025, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Côte d'Ivoire, Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani, announced on the occasion of the opening of the National Day of Cotton and Cashew Producers, that the minimum price for the purchase of cashews for the new season will be 425 West African francs (CFAF) per kilo, which represents an increase of CFAF 150 from the previous year's price of CFAF 275, which applies to cashews that are well-dried, well-sorted, and do not containing foreign objects.
Côte d'Ivoire is the world's leading producer of cashews, accounting for 42.3 per cent of total production, or about 1.1 million tons, and ranking first in the world, followed by Nigeria and Guinea-Bissau.
