EU has always been strict with the requirements of food contact materials and products, and Denmark Greenland has issued “Notice of Greenland Food Contact Materials” recently in order to keep in line with the regulations of EU food contact materials and products, and the amendment in the notice basically implements the clauses in the regulations of EU food contact.

The new rules have made relevant provisions to the food contact materials and products of active and intelligent materials, ceramic, enamel and glass, regenerated cellulose membrane, recycled plastics and plastic products, including: mark “DONOTEAT” on inedible materials and mark them with related signs; such plastic substance as the substance allowed in No. 10/2011 regulation, the substance that is classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic and toxicity reproductive, and unallowable nano materials should be authorized for application according to the provisions; the transfer volume of lead and cadmium in ceramic, enamel and glass should be performed in accordance with the requirement standard of the limit regulated in Denmark order 822.
