According to the data released by Indian Customs Office, in the nine months from April 2013 to December, Iran is the bargest exporter of Indian pistachio products, and India imported 8,470 tons of pistachio from Iran and the value was $25.3 million.
The data showed that in the pistachios imported from India, the ratio of Iran accounted for 65.7%.
In the same period, the United States also exported $11 million pistachios to India and the rank was just behind Iran, and Turkey is the third largest exporter with the export volume of $1.1 million. In the nine months, India has totally imported 11,500 tons of pistachios.
