EU Plans to Relax the Maximum Residue Limit of Acetamiprid in Woody Nuts and Apricot

 On December 10th, 2013, European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published opinions on the maximum residue limit (MRL) of Acetamiprid in woody nuts and apricot.

 

According to the regulation of the chapter 6 in European Commission (EC) No 396/2005 rule, Greece received an application from a company that it required to revise the MRL of Acetamiprid in woody nuts and apricot. In order to coordinate the MRL of Acetamiprid, Greece suggested to revise the MRL.

 

According to the regulation of the chapter 8 in European Commission (EC) No 396/2005 rule, Greece drafted an evaluation report and submitted it to the commission, and then the report was transferred to EFSA.

 

After the review of the evaluation report by EFSA, EFSA have made the following decision:
