The recombination of EFSA’s A risk assessment and scientific support council have been completed,and the relevant tools and resources have also been integrated and shared so that the work process is more smoothly and the efficiency also is improved. The reform also is helpful for EFSA to carry out projects better in the work and further enhance the professional skills of the employees.


Doctor Marta Hugas, the interim director of RASA, said, “the new RASA has effectively integrated the methodology of raw data, public information and evidence assessment, which can make it have strong interdisciplinary advantage when we provide scientific advice. It will help EFSA that the work of scientific advice will continue to make contribution to the health of 500 million European consumers.


The work of RASA have included the EFSA’s risk assessment of public health and the related scientific research activities.
