2013-14 Global Sunflower Seed Output Rises to 41.6MT

       As shown in the latest report published by Oil World, the trade journal in Hamburg, Germany, the 2013/14 global sunflower seed output may reach up to 41.6mt, higher than the 40.2mt predicted earlier.

       By contrast, the actual output in the previous year is 35.4mt.

      Oil World reports that the 2013/14 sunflower seed output in Argentina is 2.4mt expectedly, lower than the 2.9mt predicted earlier, and in Ukraine is 11mt expectedly, higher than the 9.8mt predicated earlier. The output in the previous year is 2.9mt in Argentina and 8.4mt in Ukraine.     

The 2013/14 sunflower seed output in Russia is 9.7mt expectedly, higher than the 9.3mt predicted earlier, and in 28 EU countries is 8mt expectedly, higher than the 8.6mt predicated earlier. The output in the previous year is 8mt in Russia and 7mt in 28 EU countries.

The Oil World predicts that the 2013/14 global sunflower seed processing volume is 37.2mt. In comparison, the predicted volume is 36.2mt and volume in previous year is 32.2mt. The year-end storage of global sunflower seed is 3.1mt. In comparison, the predicted volume is 2.9mt, and volume in previous year is 2.4mt.
