The second output forecast report published by India Ministry of Agriculture on Friday showed that total output of 9 oilseeds was up to 32.89 million tons in India in 2013/14, which increased by 2 million tons or 6.6% than last year, and this is mainly because the peanut yield increase.
These 9 oilseeds are peanut, castor bean, sesame, nigerseed, rapeseed (0, -4839.00, -100.00%), flaxseed, kardiseed, sunflower seed and soybean (4540, -22.00,-0.48%).
India Ministry of Agriculture expected that domestic peanut production would greatly increase to 9.14 million tons in 2013/14, which increased more than 1 time that last year; the output of soybean is expected to be decreased to 12.45 million tons, which was lower than 14.66 million tons of last year; the output of rapeseed production is projected to rise slightly to 8.25 million tons, which was higher than up 8.03 million tons of last year.
