The statistics of Viet Nam Association of Cashew Nuts shows that the whole exports of cashew nuts amounted to 264,000 tons last year, which is the 8^th year when it exceeds the India, and it is still the world's biggest exporter of cashew nuts.

The Viet Nam Association of Cashews noted if the export amount of cashew shell oil and other products, the total cashew exports amount would reach to 2 billion US dollars for Viet Nam last year; the United States, China and the Netherlands remains the major import markets of Viet Nam cashews.

From these data, it appears that although the world economy has not yet recovered last year, and the purchasing power was reduced in the international market, but Viet Nam Cashew export production companies have made enormous efforts to get gratifying results.

The Viet Nam Association of cashew would continue to encourage enterprises’ investment in cashew-processing and improve processing technology, increase the quality and export value of cashew nuts, and strive to maintain the export amount of last year, and then increase the export amount to 2 billion US dollars this year.

This year, Viet Nam will strengthen to import cashew materials from several West African countries, so as to ensure the domestic cashew-processing enterprises demand for raw materials.
