According to the Turkish media, April 18, Turkish government is assessing the possibility of developing green energy from pistachio shells which were originally thrown away like garbage, to supply the heating and cooling needs of Turkey’s first ecological city.

It was first proposed last year by Burgeap, a French environmental engineering company, that pistachio shells could be the most promising energy for use in Gaziantep, Turkey.
