According to the report from USDA to Ukraine Agricultural Counselor on May 2nd, the yield of sunflower seeds in 2014-2015 is estimated to reduce in Ukraine for the decline of the per unit area yield.

    Counselor predicted the yield of sunflower seeds in 2014-2015 is 10 million tons, which is 14% lower than 1.16 million tons in 2013-2014.

    Counselor expressed that the planting acreage of the sunflower seeds in 2014-2015 in Ukraine is about the same as last year and the average per unit area yield is still will higher than average of last five years, while last year is the record 21.7 ton/hectare makes the yield will lower than last year.
