According to the president of Bulgarian Scanwel Company, Dean Doney, the yield of sunflower seeds in Bulgaria dropped to 1730000 tons in 2013/2014, a decrease of 183 tons, 5.5% of total yield, compared with the last year

 Dean Doney expressed that the sown area for sunflower seeds in Bulgaria is expected to be 751000 hectares in 2013/2014, compared with 780750 hectares last year.

    Dean Doney also expected Bulgarian oilseed yield this year will rise up to 408000 tons from 272000 tons last year. The sown area for rapeseed will rise up to 177000 tons from 134500 tons last year. The increase in yield of rapeseed will result in the increase in exports to 256000 tons from 140000 tons last year.
