As shown in the latest weekly newspaper of Oil World, a Hamburg-based industrial journal, the predicted global sunflower seed output in 2014/15 will be 40.5 million ton, lower than the actual output, 41.9 million ton in the previous year.

The Oil World predicts that in 2014/15 the sunflower seed output in Argentina is 2.8 million ton, while by contrast, the output in the previous year is 2.1 million ton. The predicted sunflower seed output in Ukraine is 10.3 million ton while by contrast the output in the previous year is 10.8 million ton. The output in Russia is 9.5 million ton while 10 million ton in the previous year. The output in 8.2 million ton in 28 EU countries while 8.8 million ton in the previous year.
