New Zealand Parliament passed the new food safety law on May 27, 2014. The new law contains the clauses of product recall in some cases, and strengthens the power of government in the aspect of food safety. The new food safety law in total 470 pages is drafted for ten years, and formally submitted to parliament for deliberation in May, 2010.
