On June 11, 2014, Israel issued the standard SI929 for paroline used in food.

At this time, the mandatory standard SI 929 for machine lubricating oil that may contact with food is revised. The amended draft of the standard is based on the regulations of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) / World Health Organization and the international codes related to mineral oil that are used by the codes Alimentarius Commission, with the titles as follows:

- FAO/WHO-FAO JECFA –monograph 1 (2006) mineral oil - high viscosity

- FAO/WHO-FAO JECFA - monograph 3 (2012) mineral oil - middle viscosity

The old standard and the revised standard will be implemented for one year from the effective date, during which the products could be tested according to the old standard or the revised standard.
