According to UK official statistics, one of every 200 people in United Kingdom is allergic to peanut. UK food laws and regulations has placed strict requirements on packaged cooked and uncooked foods, requiring to itemize foods containing any peanut material; at the end of last December, the government introduced new rules, which required the catering industry to itemize the foods containing peanut material.

　　Processed foods imported to United Kingdom, which contain such allergens as peanut cream, peanut butter, peanut oil, peanut brittle, crispy peanut, etc., shall be marked with allergen. Attention shall also be paid to composition labels of some blended foods.
