According to the US FDA report, US FDA made pre-announcement on proposed regulations for “Reportable Food” Registry on March 26, 2014, and it sought for comment on the regulations on June 18, with the deadline being extended to August 18, 2014.

    The so-called “Reportable Food" refers to the reasonable probability on the use or exposure of the food that causes serious adverse health effects or death for human or animal. “Reportable Food" Registry (RFR) is the electronic tool used by the industry in submitting “reportable food” reports to FDA.
